Today's cameras (image capture) equipment can do almost anything, what the systems can't do is look through the viewfinder and compose an image with the best interpretation of the scene, or find meaning in the images that only you and your individual point of view bring to the equation. Exposure control and understanding of the image capture chain is critical, regardless of the method (digital or film). With Acrey's, the emphasis is always on your photography. None of the images on this website are digital composites or montage creations. Jack Acrey's work is created with a purist vision, and total visual integrity. Creating on film before printing in the dark room, or scanning ensures that the most information at the highest resolution, dynamic range and saturation is captured and then printed. Jack is known for his "larger than the west" image size format and straight technique, yielding a painterly effect that is often difficult to present on line. We offer a few examples of mounted art work in attractive settings, but our customers provide the best referrals. Please see our testimonial pages.
